TYPO3 is a Web content management system designed for the administration of websites. It is written entirely in PHP, MySQL database driven.

Typo3 can be extended using the plugin (called Extensions). These extensions let you use many applications (for example: news, e-commerce, forums, etc..) Without having to program.

The system has been created by Danish Skårhøj Kasper, who published the first version in 1997. TYPO3 is licensed under GPL and is an open source project that is being developed continuously.
