PunBB

PunBB is a discussion forum very light and fast, licensed under the GNU General Public License. Its primary objectives are to be faster, smaller and less graphically heavy discussion of other platforms. PunBB has fewer features than other forums, but is much faster, on semantically correct XHTML. The system requires an engine of PHP and a SQL database. Currently, PunBB supports MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite as a database.

PunBB version 1.3, will feature a new series of improvements including an extension system that will allow board administrators to add new features without changing the original code of the forum. At work, in addition to the original developer, Rickard Andersson, joined a select group of programmers from the same online community forum. It is, however, provided a publication date for that version of forum.de the need to maintain its characteristics of lightness and simplicity, less PunBB integrates functions and features than other CMS forum titled as vBulletin, IPB or PhpBB, but the advantage of being much faster and have higher adherence to the XHTML standard.

Moreover? Application, written in PHP, allows you to use multiple types of SQL database support not only MySQL but PostgreSQL and SQLite.
