FlatNuke CMS is an open source thought to be exploited without the use of specific database, or storing data in flat files. Originally developed by Simone Vellei, is attracting some affected staff to improve it. The project was started because its founder wanted to create a template for creating Web sites that do not rely on the database, hence the term FlatNuke, which indicates the use of flat text files.
It has all the characteristics of the CMS, together with a system of independent blocks from the pages.
In 2005, were discovered some serious flaws in the system for managing users, however it soon settle to the situation with the support of some people who have helped the development of this software in this direction. Now the security level has been significantly raised and this was also observed by the closure of a few weeks before they bug report about Secunia.
